Tender Grilled Salmon

Tonight I cooked salmon for dinner. I found this recipe at My Kitchen Cafe. It was delicious. I only used two fillets of salmon and had plenty of marinade. I will probably cut the recipe in half next time. I also did not have any lemon pepper, so I used some other kind of pepper seasoning I had in the cabinet. It turned out great and you can barely taste the salmon taste for those of you who tend to stay away from salmon. I definitely recommend this! I served this with one of those steamer bags of cheesy rice and broccoli. It was OK, but I"ll probably not try that again. I found the broccoli to be tough.

Tender Grilled Salmon
from M y Kitchen Cafe
INGREDIENTS:
1 1/2 pounds salmon fillets (I only used 2 fillets.)
lemon pepper to taste (I didn't have this so I used some other pepper mix I had in the cabinet.)
garlic powder to taste
salt to taste
1/3 cup soy sauce
1/3 cup brown sugar
1/3 cup water
1/4 cup vegetable oil

DIRECTIONS:
Season salmon fillets with lemon pepper, garlic powder, and salt.

In a small bowl, stir together soy sauce, brown sugar, water, and vegetable oil until sugar is dissolved. Place fish in a large resealable plastic bag with the soy sauce mixture, seal, and turn to coat. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours (I marinated for 4 hours).

Preheat grill for medium heat.

Lightly oil grill grate. Place salmon on the preheated grill, and discard marinade. Cook salmon for 6 to 8 minutes per side, or until the fish flakes easily with a fork.
