Sweet Treat Tuesday- Flaky Apple Cheese Cake

This is a really easy recipe that is always a hit. You can use any kind of pie filling, but I usually choose to use apple.
Flaky Apple Cheese Cake
from my grandma
Ingredients:
2 cans Crescent Rolls
16 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
1 can pie filling (apple, cherry, blueberry, etc.)
1 stick butter, melted
1/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp cinnamon
Directions:
Preheat oven to 375 degrees. Spray bottom of 9x13 dish. Unroll one can of rolls and pat together at seams. If you can find the ones that are a sheet of rolls instead of the triangles, they would be even less work. In a bowl, cream together sugar and cream cheese and then spread over the rolls. Next, spread pie filling on top of the cheese mixture. Put second can of rolls on top of pie filling, pressing seams together. This gets a little tricky once doing the top layer. Just keep working at it and if you can't get it completely closed, it's OK. It will still taste great! Drizzle melted butter on top. Mix together 1/4 cup sugar and 1/2 tsp cinnamon and sprinkle over butter. Bake at 375 for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown. Do not over bake.
